Chris Montgomery To All Instructors

Chris Montgomery has had a varied career that has moved her throughout the Southeast.  As a GA Tech mechanical engineer, she was the first female engineer with Burlington Industries, which, at the time had over 70 textile manufacturing plants.  Later, Johnson & Johnson gave her the opportunity to get an MBA from Duke University.  Then, with a Computer Science certificate from NC State, Chris would switch to software development: teaching, designing and coding.  During this time, she adopted a teenage boy from foster care.   

Chris has always enjoyed helping others in math, whether it was tutoring NC State athletes or getting homeschooled students caught up to grade level and rebuilding their confidence. Taking early retirement, she has gone back to teaching math.  She attends Canvas Community Church.
